Our peripatetic full-length play competition runs annually from April to February \u2014 and the best part? We come to you!  Just invite us to see your show, pay the entry fee, and boom \u2014 you\u2019ll get a sparkling review published\n right here on our site. <\/p>\n

But that\u2019s not all\u2026 your production will also be in the running for one of our shiny awards at the fabulous BFAME Festival!<\/p>\n

It\u2019s open to all kinds of amateur theatre \u2014 youth, musicals, you name it. So whether you\u2019re belting out show tunes or performing high drama in a church hall, we want in. <\/p>\n

A Weekend of Theatrical Magic!\n \"\ud83c\udfad\" This time, you come to us! Our One Act Festival is a weekend packed with drama, laughter, and a little healthy theatrical rivalry. You\u2019ll perform your one act play on a professional stage, sharing the spotlight\n with other brilliant groups \u2014 three shows per session, all cheering each other on. It’s a celebration of creativity, storytelling, and stagecraft.<\/p>\n

And the grand finale? Our fabulous Awards Night, where we roll out the red carpet and honour the best of the best \u2014 joined by groups from our Peripatetic Festival too! It\u2019s a weekend where the entire amateur theatre community\n comes together for a full-on drama-fest (the good kind).<\/p>\n

AETF<\/h2>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Ever thought of one-act drama as a competition? Well, welcome to the AETF \u2013 the FA Cup of one-act plays!<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s how it works:<\/p>\n

Theatre groups enter their one-act plays into a preliminary round festival\u2014like our very own BFAME. They perform in front of a live audience and receive professional feedback from a qualified Adjudicator from GoDA (the Guild of Drama\n Adjudicators).<\/p>\n

The winner of each preliminary festival progresses to their AETF Quarter Final (if applicable), then on to the Area Semi-Final.<\/p>\n

From there, the top four regional champions go head-to-head in the English Final, where one will be crowned the All-England Theatre Festival winner.<\/p>\n

But it doesn\u2019t stop there…<\/p>\n

The English champion then represents the country at the UKCDFF British Final, battling it out against the very best from Scotland, Wales, and Ireland to claim the title of the UK\u2019s top one-act play.<\/p>\n

And here’s the exciting bit\u2026<\/p>\n

The winners of our BFAME entry will be performing at the AETF Quarter Final on 26th April 2026 at Conquest Theatre in Bromyard. From there, who knows, maybe on to the Semi Final at the Artrix Theatre in Bromsgrove on the 10th\n May, 2026.  From there, the The Final awaits..<\/p>\n
