The Grange Players are seeking actors for The Odd Couple (Female Version), auditions will be taking place on Monday January 26th @ 7.30pm at The Grange Playhouse, Walsall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Synopsis<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Neil Simon\u2019s revision of his hugely successful play, The Odd Couple, sees the lead characters transformed into Olive Madison and Florence Unger. Olive and their group of girlfriends are enjoying their weekly Trivial Pursuit night in Olive\u2019s messy and ill-equipped apartment. As the game continues, Florence arrives, fresh from being dumped by her husband. Fearful that the neurotic Florence might attempt suicide, Olive invites her to move in as her roommate. However, Olive and Florence have VERY different personalities. Where Olive is messy, untidy, and unconcerned about the state of her apartment, Florence is obsessively clean, tidy, and obsessed with hygiene. Olive\u2019s easy-going outlook on life soon clashes with Florence\u2019s highly-strung neurotic tendencies, testing their friendship to the limit. When Olive organizes a double-date with the Costazuela brothers, their differences come to a head and sparks begin to fly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Olive Madison \u2013 messy and laid back, age 35 \u2013 45 or Florence Unger \u2013 smart, tidy, newly separated, age 35 – 45<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sylvie – Maximum 40<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vera \u2013 age flexible<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Manolo Costazuela \u2013 age 35 – 50<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jesus Costazeula \u2013 age 35 – 50<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Performance dates are 13th \u2013 22nd May, we are running Wednesday13th to Friday 22nd with this one so as not to impinge on the holiday weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Please don\u2019t let the accents put you off auditioning, think of it as an opportunity to add something new to your repertoire and the director promises not to embarrass you at the audition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
