Cissy, Reggie and Wilf, who were quite famous in the opera world in their day, are all happily retired in a home for former professional musicians. Their peace is threatened however when soprano Jean – Reggie’s ex-wife – makes an unexpected appearance.

In the midst of old rivalries and new hopes, the Gala Committee approaches Cissy with a wonderful idea. Each year on 10^th October the residents celebrate Verdi’s birthday with a concert. Why don’t the four of them reunite to perform the quartet from Rigoletto, which they performed together in their youth? Can these four old friends overcome fear and time to revive their famous quartet? A heartwarming story of memory, friendship, and the enduring power of music, blending humour with moments of sadness and reflection.
