Hi Birmingham & District Theatre Guild,
Do you know a theatre professional who’s ready to take their experience into Film and TV?
Applications are now open for:
Mid-Career Momentum: Supporting Film & TV Freelancers to Progress
This fully funded programme is for people with 2+ years’ professional experience who identify as mid-career and want to progress in Film and TV.
We’re particularly interested in hearing from people who are:
- Working in theatre and looking to add Film and TV to their career portfolio. Two places are reserved for people transferring from theatre.
- Working in another industry, with directly transferable skills, some Film and TV experience and a demonstrable commitment to moving across.
Led by Alison Grade and Mission Accomplished, the programme combines practical training, industry connections and personalised career support. Participants will develop their leadership and freelance skills, strengthen how they present their experience to employers and create a clear plan for their next move with support continuing for 12 months after the training.
Applicants must be aged 19 or over and live in:
· West Midlands
· Warwickshire
· Worcestershire
· Staffordshire
· Shropshire
· Herefordshire
The programme is free for successful applicants.
Applications close at 23:59 on Sunday 15 November 2026.
Full details and the application form can be found here:
We’d be very grateful if you could share this opportunity with your members, colleagues and wider theatre network particularly anyone with professional theatre experience who is ready to explore a move into Film and TV.
Very kind regards,
Viktorija Joesbury | Marketing and Business Development Coordinator.
